Transport options for getting to Nimbin, once you are in Australia …. Nimbin is just below the Queensland border in the North East corner of New South Wales. The nearest interstate/overseas airports are at Coolangatta and Brisbane. There is a train station at the Brisbane Airport, which can take you to Roma Station. There are bus terminals there. This train is one of the least fussed ways to get out of Brisbane. Most services coming up or down the coast go to Byron Bay, where there are a number of shuttle and tour services that go from Byron to Nimbin. Bus services from Lismore and Murwillumbah to Nimbin are less frequent. However, if you can get to any of the surrounding towns listed below, you can get a free Liquor Accord bus for the remainder of the journey!
